Norby and the Oldest Dragon

On my trip in Italy I read this book called Norby and the Oldest Dragon, by Janet and Isaac Asimov. This book is about a orphaned boy, Jeff and his artificial intelligence robot, Norby. The story takes place mostly on the planet Jamya, where Jeff, Norby, his brother Fargo, and his fiance, are invited to the Grand Dragon's Birthday party. But when the mother of the the Grand Dragon does not arrive Jeff and his robot, Norby take up the challenge to bring back word of the Grand Dragon's mother and if possible bring her back...

This is a great book. It is funny and has great character development. It has a interesting twist to the book to keep it going. I can't say anything about it for it would spoil it. all I will say is the it has to do with a cl... I would give it 8 out of 10. This is the book for you if you like hilarious books.

Red Thunder

A few days ago, I read the book Red Thunder by John Varley. This book is about 7 American misfits. The book takes place a little ahead of our time, just when the next space race begins. This race is to Mars, and with everyone accepting the fate that the NASA maned space ship, Ares Seven would reach second place behind the Chinese, the 7 misfits set out to do what everyone thinks is impossible... to build a space ship and have it reach Mars in under four days.

This book was one of the best books ever. I would give it a 10 out of 10. Not only did it inspired me of thinking of new ways of making a space ship, (Which the thought has crossed my mind several times before) it also presented all the problems in a way that I could see them clearly without brushing them aside. I really hope this author writes another book in the same time line.
